A friend of a friend is selling this 2004 Tacoma, and it actually looks like a pretty good truck. Thought I'd share.

Not to be rude, but that price seems quite...steep.

EDIT: Nevermind, I just did a quick check on Autotrader, and those things really are that expensive. Good grief.

Will this Taco be cheaper on Tuesday?

It does right away. Surprisingly enough though, that's about right. I booked it right around $12k, and didn't include much at all for extras.

Probably, but I hear he'll throw in a discount on margaritas if you stop in on Monday.

That's an amazing lack of depreciation. I knew Land Cruisers possessed this immunity to losing value, but let's put it this way: A new version of that truck is about $30k. That's just 60% depreciation in 12 years. My car is of similar age and condition, with similar miles. It has gone though over 90% depreciation

YUP. Compared to other cars, Tacomas (and Wranglers, of course) are practically investments. The most amazing thing: This truck probly cost less that that $30k, something like $27-28k.

I was looking at getting a small pickup not too long ago. These were in consideration, but not in my price range for the mileage I wanted. Especially the up-to 2004 Tacomas. In 2005, the Tacoma got a little bit bigger, and people like the older ones a little better for the gas mileage. These model Tacomas have held their value like crazy. I'd be willing to bet you could buy this and sell it for $9k in 3 years, provided you treated it right.

Looks pretty good. $12K for a Tacoma is a tough sell, no matter what KBB says.

I checked online. That's just how much they sell for. If not more.

This is Craigslist though. When they say they'll consider other offers, I smell blood in the water.

The link doesn't seem to be working anymore. Sad, I could use a decent vehicle at the moment. Also, Charlotte's a bit of a drive. Oh well.
